Decanter assigns awards to Duca di Salaparuta wines

This year, Decanter, the prestigious British wine magazine published in over ninety countries, has decided to reward everyday quality! It awarded a Bronze Medal to Corvo Rosso, a Sicilian wine renowned not only in Italy. Like Corvo Bianco(Commended), it is a wine characterized by consistent quality and an excellent quality/price ratio, perfect as a daily table wine in Italy and around the world.

A great classic, bottled for the first time by Giuseppe Alliata in 1824, that preserves the innovative, modern spark that distinguished it from the very first bottle and which still offers consumers the opportunity to enjoy it every day at a reasonable price.

Decanter also recognized this attention to quality combined with a fair price in Florio wines, awarding a Bronze Medal to VecchioFlorio Dolce marsala. Like VecchioFlorio Secco (Commended), it is created in the Florio Winery’s ancient cellars in Marsala. Since 1915, this product with its great heritage and fascination has been a favourite all over the world for its full, rich flavour and eclectic personality. Choosing quality products with the right price would seem to be an international market trend, and one which Duca di Salaparuta has evidently known how to meet.

Finally, important awards were also assigned to two Duca di Salaparuta wines that introduce the characteristics of two unique grape varieties and terroirs to the world : Duca Enrico 2010 – Silver Medal and Làvico 2011 – Bronze Medal. The first single varietal wine to be produced from Nero d’Avola grapes from Duca di Salaparuta’s Suor Marchesa Estate, and the Nerello Mascalese grown on the Vajasindi Estate on the slopes of Mount Etna. Two terroirs that produce wines with distinct, unmistakable personalities, assigned one of the most important international awards. A varied collection of medals that is proof of the quality of wines made with care and with Duca di Salaparuta’s always enquiring, innovative spirit.
